Bad acid reflux and stomach pain?
I am a 13 year old girl and I have had acid reflux about 2 months now. About a month ago at my physical I told my dr about it an he gave me Prilosec and now I've been on it almost 4 weeks. It hasn't helped. But lately about 3 weeks I have gotten really bad abdominal pain and stomach cramps. I haven't had my period for about 4 months and I'm not sexually active. Also I have heartburn. Please help
Should acid reflux taste like grapefriut?

Have a father with bad acid reflux, very concerning to me now. PLEASE HELP.?
My father is basically the most thickheaded a person can get. In his progressing years now 55 , he's basically cut off his family, and eliminated his social life. This has to due with many issues, not just the fact he's a grumpy man and anti social. I am not looking for a lecture. I am not looking for a " GO TO THE DOCTOR" answer. He won't. I need to do what I can to help my dad before it gets too bad. My father has been coughing, clearing his throat, and choking more and more lately in his sleep. I've done some research and this really could do with the big issue that he drinks a lot of alcohol before he goes to bed, or eats right before he falls asleep. Again, I'm not looking for any " go to the doctor" advice. I just need tips that a 17 year old concerned daughter can do.I was thinking maybe there are some pills I can buy, that will help with his acid reflux, maybe kick in shortly after he takes them, so I don't have to worry about the man dying in his sleep or something. I've been giving him two tums before bed, but I know that they can only do so much. He is on a generic acid reflux pill, just a cheap dollar store one, and it is called " Omeprazole Magnesium." However, after reading the label, these pills are made to kick in 1 4 days after taken. I need something that I can force him to take before he falls asleep or shortly after he falls asleep that will prevent him from being hurt while he is sleeping. Please, please help. I am desperate at this point. I can't watch this happen anymore. His throat clearing in his sleep has gotten so bad that it wakes me up and scares me.My father WILL take medication if I tell him to. He just will not address his health problems because he doesn't care about himself enough to. Once again, I repeat, the man is THICKHEADED. he had skin cancer on the back of his neck for six years before he went to the doctor and did something about it. I just want tips on what I CAN DO.
If you have acid reflux and you eat alot of sugar,could that make you feel worst?
I was at my brothers baseball game today and I ate a slushy, a large pixie stock and a big airhead...could this make me feel worst cause I have acid reflux...and it's bothering me right now
How to cure my anxiety/throw up feeling/acid reflux?
Everyday when I eat, 3 seconds after I feel like I want to throw up. Every time I panic or get scared, I want to throw up. How do I cure it?
Anyone else experience acid reflux like this..and any advice?
For going on 7 years now I have been diagnosed with GERD and its been a constant battle to find anything that works well for me. I am currently on a 40mg dose of Protonix but for quite awhile now it seems to not be working the best. With the GERD, I do experience the usual up and down acid reflux thats more of an annoyance rather than a major issue but then there are times that the reflux is unbearable. I wake up choking and coughing, not being able to breathe due to the extreme burning in my throat. It literally feels like someone has branded the back of my throat with a hot iron. I have even had the stuff come up out of my mouth and leave welts because it burned around my mouth. It also brings along a kind of soapy taste and I can feel the burning all the way down into my chest. It feels like utter misery when this is happening and even felt like I would pass out from lack of oxygen because I can't catch my breath from the burning being so bad. I will have a sore throat and a cough for days after an episode. I try taking some liquid antacid, drink water and also eat a piece of plain bread to help absorb the acid but honestly, nothing has really helped. I talked to my GI doc about this and she honestly didn't say too much and recommended a GI cocktail that had Mylanta and Lidocaine mixed in, however my insurance didn't cover it and I couldn't afford it on my own. Does anyone else experience this same thing where their symptoms from this reflux are THIS bad? If so, what are some things that work well to help?I have been on a number of medications throughout the years all including Prilosec, Pepcid, Prevacid pretty much all OTC acid reducers and then also Nexium as well none of these worked then eventually ended up on the Protonix. I also have been diagnosed with Eosinophilic Esophagitus which in itself has had me on alot of different treatments to try. I am 19 and have had these problems since I was 12 so I saw a number of pediatric doctors, then moved onto an adult doctor when I turned 18. I have had about 14 endoscopies over the years to recheck my cell count and inflammation and I do show scarring and alot of inflammation of my esophagus. I have also had colonoscopies which are normal and have had a gastric emptying test which shows delayed digestion in my stomach and a Ph study which showed I have an over production of acid. I also currently have ongoing nausea which can come about anytime of the day and is almost a daily thing and have been on Reglan before but stopped it due to s due to side effects, I have also been on Zofran but it didnt work well. I am now on Promethazine as a rescue nausea med. If you have anymore questions, I will inform anyone the best I can on what I have tried and what I've been through already
Can a concussion cause acid reflux?
I recently got another rather serious concussion. Ever since I have been having some powerful heartburn and sought out medical treatment for it. However I never got a straight answer about whether or not the concussion causes my acid reflux issues.

Can an acid reflux cause stinging sensation in body and head and muscle pain?
i have been getting burning stabbing sensations in my head and body for the past few days i was wondering if this could have something to do with my acid refluxes or not. i have also been getting pain in my muscles feeling like ive been at the gym all day when actually ive done nothing and muscle spasms. i have also been getting lower abdominal pain mainly on the right side and virginal bleeding this is indefinably not my period could this have something to do with it to? other symptoms .swollen glands.ear ache .eye ache .back, shoulder and neck pain.dizziness .brain fog .feeling shaky the symptom i am most worried about is the stinging sensation if it is linked to my acid refluxes will it go away with diet changes?
Chronic acid reflux, what to do?
I have had acid reflux for a little over 3 years now. I have watched what I ate. I haven taken all the otc medicine and have been prescribed zantac 300 and nexium. Nexium in the morning and the zantac for bed. I'm getting tired of taking these medications I hurt so bad when I don't take my nexium. Also I hurt sometimes WITH it. I have a.r. as well as my dad and as well as my grandfather. My dad has esophagus problems as well as my grandpa. Dad has had a ruptured esophagus and my grandpa has a hiena hernia in esophagus. I don't want to be like them I'm only 21 What can I do for my a.r???
Is white sauced sauce better then red when referring to heartburn or acid reflux?

I have just recently been getting really bad acid reflux to the point where it is affecting my voice and leaves a constant burning in my throat all day that feels like heart burn. I lose my voice very quickly and sound kinda hoarse. Is there anything that can help this?? I'm buying probiotics to help with it, but I think they will take a while to work. I need to be able to sing in 2 days so does anyone know any faster remedies for gastric reflux in your throat??

Im 17 years old and I have bad acid reflux and my mom bought me Antacid Liquid but I haven't taken it yet since she bought it to me 6 weeks ago mostly due to laziness and forgetting.I don't know what time to take this thing, and how. Do I take it before I eat? After I eat? Dinner? Lunch? Breakfast? Snack? Someone help me, I hate this feeling Also is ANTACID LIQUID good for acid reflux and can a 17 year old take this? WILL IT CAUSE no harm to my body? Thank you
