I suffer from acid reflux is water good for me?
I went to the er because I get palpation's also when i get a server symptoms of acid reflux. I have an appointment with a specialist until the 17 of may. Today i ate a subway and had a really bad episode what should i do when I am having a really bad episode to make it stop fast.? How should I dink water because i find when I am having an episode if I drink water I get more bloated and it makes it worse sometimes . But I heard water is good if you suffer from acid reflux should I drink it before I eat? What foods should I eat so I don't have bad episodes before my appointment. I afraid to eat now I get this acid reflux bad and palpation's as well sucks. Any advice what works for you would be appreciated. I'm on Omeprazole 20 mg right now how long untill it works I have taken it for a week now.I'm only 31 my appointment is untill the 17 with the specialist.Now I'm more scared that it can be cancer why would you scare me more?No I had it before I started taking Omeprazole thx for the help.

Have a father with bad acid reflux, very concerning to me now. PLEASE HELP.?
My father is basically the most thickheaded a person can get. In his progressing years now 55 , he's basically cut off his family, and eliminated his social life. This has to due with many issues, not just the fact he's a grumpy man and anti social. I am not looking for a lecture. I am not looking for a " GO TO THE DOCTOR" answer. He won't. I need to do what I can to help my dad before it gets too bad. My father has been coughing, clearing his throat, and choking more and more lately in his sleep. I've done some research and this really could do with the big issue that he drinks a lot of alcohol before he goes to bed, or eats right before he falls asleep. Again, I'm not looking for any " go to the doctor" advice. I just need tips that a 17 year old concerned daughter can do.I was thinking maybe there are some pills I can buy, that will help with his acid reflux, maybe kick in shortly after he takes them, so I don't have to worry about the man dying in his sleep or something. I've been giving him two tums before bed, but I know that they can only do so much. He is on a generic acid reflux pill, just a cheap dollar store one, and it is called " Omeprazole Magnesium." However, after reading the label, these pills are made to kick in 1 4 days after taken. I need something that I can force him to take before he falls asleep or shortly after he falls asleep that will prevent him from being hurt while he is sleeping. Please, please help. I am desperate at this point. I can't watch this happen anymore. His throat clearing in his sleep has gotten so bad that it wakes me up and scares me.

Is this nausea or acid reflux?
Ok I have this like tickling ish sensation like two to three inches from between my boobs. I have bad acid reflux, I've had it since I was little but now it's been acting up so I take Zantac. But I took it and it's not working so far, so I tried drinking lemonade that's what I drink when Im nauseous but I doesn't seem to be working. I'm also nervous because I hate throwing up. But I don't have pain or anything just this weird sensation. So what do you think it is?This is what I ate to dayBreakfast eggs, pork roll and toastLunch subway. Italian herb an cheese roll with American cheese, pickles and two packs of mustard.Dinner Tyson chicken in fajita wrap with rice.Snack popcorn, it always bothers me, but Ive been getting this on and off all day.I also had an iced from BK. so help me im nervous

Is it a stomach ulcer or severe acid reflux and should I go to the ER?
So about two weeks ago I started having nausea and couldn't keep food down. In the past couple days things have worsened. I feel like I have an air pocket stuck in my chest, I cannot hold ANYTHING down, not even water, I am also having severe stomach pains, excessive sweating, and arm pain the arm pain is only at night . I am constantly gaging and I cannot sleep because the pain is awful. I have never really had any issues with acid reflux, but I am thing it could be a ulcer. I just stopped taking percocet and Ibuprofen because I had kidney stoned and had to have them removed. I am wondering if all the pain medications screwed up my stomach. The other odd thing is that I also have three cold sores on my lip. I read that the bacteria H. Pylori causes stomach ulcers and cold sores. Is it just a coincidence with the cold sores? I have been taking Prilosec, Zantac, Tums, and Pepto, but nothing is working. My symptoms are getting worse. I have a doctor appointment for Monday morning, but I don't know if I can make it until then. I am supposed to work the weekend. But, I do not want to go to the ER for something as stupid as acid reflux and waste everyone's time. Any suggestions on what to do?I haven't been able to sleep at all due to the pain got a whole 30 minutes of sleep last night before having to get up and go to work . The burning pain in my stomach is worse then my chest pain at times.

i have had stomach problems for a few weeks. i sometimes pass gass and, i can hear my stomach making noises and sometimes i feel a little nauseus. im scared about what this isi also get heartburn every so often and i hav had it for weeks so it has to be something right. my worst fear is stomach cancer

Can an acid reflux cause stinging sensation in body and head and muscle pain?
i have been getting burning stabbing sensations in my head and body for the past few days i was wondering if this could have something to do with my acid refluxes or not. i have also been getting pain in my muscles feeling like ive been at the gym all day when actually ive done nothing and muscle spasms. i have also been getting lower abdominal pain mainly on the right side and virginal bleeding this is indefinably not my period could this have something to do with it to? other symptoms .swollen glands.ear ache .eye ache .back, shoulder and neck pain.dizziness .brain fog .feeling shaky the symptom i am most worried about is the stinging sensation if it is linked to my acid refluxes will it go away with diet changes?

I have acid reflux/ gastritis. But my meds aren't working and the pain has spread thru my ribs to my back?
What could be other illnesses with the same symptoms? Pain is a 10 on the scale of 1 to 10

I don't have heartburn, but If I eat oily foods eat late in the day, I unintentionally throw up in small amounts. I've been doing this for about a year now without telling anyone.

What to et when you have bad acid reflux?
I have bad acid reflux. I throw up a lot of my supper every night. I am on omeprazole and it hasn't worked for a week and I may have to go to the hospital if It don't work in a few weeks because it may have something worse to do with it.. I've had it 2 months and just went to the dr the other day for a physical and mom mentioned it. So now it's gotten worse. I am 13 and It hurts my stomach and throat if its a whole lot. Tonight nd last night I was getting choked on it coming up. But I can eat breakfast and lunch and it not come up.. What do I do about supper? What do I eat? To fill me up but not throw up? Pretty much everything I eat comes up.

Im 17 years old and I have bad acid reflux and my mom bought me Antacid Liquid but I haven't taken it yet since she bought it to me 6 weeks ago mostly due to laziness and forgetting.I don't know what time to take this thing, and how. Do I take it before I eat? After I eat? Dinner? Lunch? Breakfast? Snack? Someone help me, I hate this feeling Also is ANTACID LIQUID good for acid reflux and can a 17 year old take this? WILL IT CAUSE no harm to my body? Thank you
