Are these typical GERD (acid reflux) symptoms? Has anyone here had GERD? should I go to the ER?
My doctor diagnosed me with acid reflux and prescribed me Omeprazole but it has been making me vomit and I have been taking an over the counter antacid that has been helping a lot but doesn't last very long. I am 22 years old and a former smoker but have been smoke free for 5 months and never plan on smoking again the thought disgusts me now . I have one right kidney because I was born with only one. I'm concerned because I have been having chest pain due to heart burn and it makes my arms ache and I had ear pain as well. I also went out on Friday and drank one beer and ate greasy bar food and that night I was so sick i couldn't sleep and I threw up 3 times. My symptoms have been much better since yesterday because I have been eating healthier and practically chugging the antacid ever hour. I'm just so tied up with college finals I don't have time to see the doctor, but I'm really worried about my symptoms cause they are interfering with my ability to function. Have you had GERD? Did you get cured? do you think I will need surgery? could this be another stomach disease as well? when should i know to go to the ER?
Can untreated acid reflux cause your body harm? if so what?
Does anyone else have acid reflux this bad?
About 2 months ago my doctor diagnosed me with acid reflux and put me on some meds. The belching and everything stopped but now I have other really bad problems such as constant chest pains front and back, shoulder pains, throat pains to where I cant raise my voice or it hurts to bad, constant dizziness, constant difficulty to breath to where I cant take a deep breath or even take in a full yawn. does anyone else get these symptoms from acid reflux? Im freaking out thinking something is terribly wrong with me.He put me on omeprazole. I stopped taking it and thats when things got real bad. I started taking it again a few days ago and things are worse so I stopped taking it again.
Anyone with acid reflux or heartburn help?
I went to the drs today because i have been experiencing these terrible pains in my upper abdomen.These are my symptoms..Extreme pain in my upper abdomen that kind of wraps around my back and to my lower abdomen it hurts that bad at times that I cant move.Feeling really full but hungry at the same time.It seems to hurt more with physical activity, pain killers dont help nor does changing position.Had more gas and feel a bit bloated.The dr tells me its acid reflux or heartburn and put me on these pills and said eat more.I've had bad heartburn when i was pregnant and the pain is completely different and more in my chest and throat.Does this still sounds like acid reflux or something else? Thanks so much
How long does acid reflux last?
On Thursday morning I had a pain in my throat which felt like there was something stuck, it wasn't sore, just very annoying I had the same problem on Friday.When I woke up on Saturday morning I had the same problem but it was very sore and I was unable to eat with the pain. Sunday was the same. So first thing Monday morning I called the local surgery to make an appointment with the doctor. The earliest they could take me was 4.30 that day, so I went on too work and got away early to go to my appointment. The doctor gave me an antibiotic and paracetamol for the pain, this wasn't working 3 days on Thursday and I was still unable to eat anything so I decided to go into the surgery again to see the nurse to see what the actual problem was, she didn't know and referred me to the doctor, the doctor told me it sounded like acid reflux so she put me on Galveston and Acid Resistant tablets, she said this should clear it but it isn't and I still get an unbearable sharp pain in the right side of oesophagus and I'm still unable to eat.If anyone can answer my following questions please do What would have caused this? How long will it take to clear? Why is it painful when I eat?

GERD or acid reflux and constant burping ?!?
I am a 30 year old female never smoked or drank alcohol...It started when I was about 14 years old...I would watch tv after a meal...and all of a sudden the content in my stomach comes up shooting in my mouth...At first I was shocked but then I put it down to,...my stomach hates when I eat too much...although my portions are fairly normal...So I am dealing with this constantly for 15 years. It doesnt matter what I eat, even if it is just a small size banana...it comes back shooting up my stomach..And for the past month I can't stop burping at night. It starts around 7 pm and lasts till the morning. Sometimes the burps get stuck in my cheast or throat and I start paniking...The only thing I feel is my stomach muscle right between my chest contracting and pushing my food up and air. Sometimes I run to the bathroom to spit it out sometimes I need to swollow it back down when I am around people....I don't know for what reason but I finally decided to do something about it ...So I read alot about cancer, which completely freaks me out now...I read about the barrium xray which I am totally scared of as I read some ppl die of this examination as the barrium travels to the lungs and causes shock...I am also scared of a tube down my throat and of the sedation..I know I need to see a doctor...but I cant handle these crazy examinations...what are the signs of cancer in the throat...And does anybody have the same symptoms as me ???PS THE FOOD COMES BACK UP WITHOUT STOMACH JUICE AND COMPLETELY UNDIGESTED

What causes acid reflux disease?
NOT PHYSIOLOGICALLY SPEAKING. I KNOW WHAT IT IS.I mean, what causes it? I never had it before and randomly I started getting it about six months ago, like what the fuck?I am probably 30lbs overweight, 6ft tall and 22 years old. Does weight or age factor into this?Has anyone got it, made a change in their lifestyle in some way and lost it?Thanks
Lately my acid Reflux has been bothering me, needing help?
All my life ive had a acid reflux problem, and recently its been pretty bad. Most of the time, for no reason, my chest becomes very pressurized and starts to gargle. It's pretty embarrassing but at the same time very uncomfortable. Today after eating a simple lunch and pasta for dinner, ive had a very hard time breathing and ive been taking very deep breaths and again my stomach is full of pressure. Does anyone have any idea what this could possibly be?
What Does Acid Reflux Feel Like?
I've been having chest and throat pains when I drink for a couple weeks now. I also have puked in my throat mouth a couple times not fully puked, just comes up and goes back down, that sort of thing . I'm pregnant and I've read that in pregnancy you can get acid reflux from the baby pushing on your intestines and things. So I'm wondering if this could be acid reflux and if it'll go away once I have the baby?
